How to style outdoor area

Summer 2020 will be one to remember. There’s no doubt we will be spending more time at home as we have for the past few months so we may as well make the most of our outdoor spaces. As much as I love to get cozy in the living room and lounge around in bed , a backyard is the true sanctuary, especially if it’s prepped with all the right backyard bells and whistles. Indeed, your outdoor space can just be as inviting, comfortable, and stylish as your interiors, but it also offers fresh air and nature.

I have created two different mood board designs that will give you lot’s of ideas in which direction to go too. An all-white patio keeps the area cooler when the sun beats down on it in the warmer months. It also allows a pop of colour through pillows and plants and it will make the space look bigger. One thing to have in mined it can get dirty very easily. I hope this design inspires you to create your magical outdoor area. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on outdoor furniture. I have seen some amazing peaces from Bunning, Kmart, Amart, Ikea and BigW. It is important to put all the peaces together in the mood board before your star buying so you can see if everything will work together.

I always start my Mood Board with an inspirational image, this would be my ideal outdoor area.

This is the second inspirational image. I absolutely love black and white combination for this outdoor space. This patio is both approachable and design-forward, laid-back and put together. For a similar vibe, opt for sling chairs that make a statement.
